Registration Dates:
  • Registration deadline has been extended till February 22nd, 2020
  • Registration will be done in college (Visitors office) during college timings.
Requirements:
  • Students are required to provide TWO passport size photographs
Charges:
  1. Security of gown: Rs. 1000/-
  2. Registration Charges: Rs. 1000/-
  3. Gown Rent: Rs. 400/-
Rules and Regulations:
  • Students must participate in the Convocation rehearsal prior to the convocation day. Date/s will be intimated on the this website/FaceBook Page of college. So please keep visiting both.
  • Dress code should be strictly followed (white colored dresses, black/ brown court shoes, no heavy jewellery, no chappals).
  • Students MUST bring their invitation cards/slips on the convocation day.
  • Students should strictly observe the timings on the convocation day. No entry will be allowed after closing the registration process as well as the auditorium doors, i.e. 8:00 am sharp)
  • On Convocation day, hands should be absolutely free, no mobile phones, hand bags or cameras are allowed in the auditorium. Just bring your invitation cards.
  • Any student not complying with the dress code or any other requirements will not be allowed to participate in the convocation proceedings.
  • Convocation registration is mandatory for all the students who are attending the convocation.

ABOUT College:

Government Viqar-un-Nisa College for women was established as a private educational institution in 1956. In 1972 it was nationalized by the government and since then it has been dispensing educational services under the supervision of the Government of Punjab.

Size and Scope
The college is spread over an area of about twenty-eight acres. This is the largest college in Rawalpindi Division in terms of its area and strength of students. Its boundary wall is surrounded by roads on three sides, Tipu Road being the most important of these three roads as it connects the college with Airport Road and Murree Road.
Environment
On entering the college one is captivated by its flora and fauna which presents a clear contrast with the noisy and congested roads surrounding it. Widespread lawns and playgrounds inside college premises provide students with an opportunity to complement their studies with healthy and entertaining extracurricular activities. The College provides excellent environment for the education, sports and entertainment of its students. Affectionate and competent teachers and efficient and cooperative administration of college leave no stone unturned to ensure the growth and success of their students, in all types of curricular and extracurricular activities.
Education
Students pursue their academic goals under the guidance of highly qualified and experienced teachers, who are selectees of PPSC. On intermediate level the college is affiliated with the Rawalpindi board of intermediate and secondary education. Moreover for degree classes, MA/MSc, BS, B.Com, ADA and ADS programmes the college is affiliated with the University of the Punjab Lahore.
Activities
The College provides excellent environment for the education, sports and entertainment of its students. Affectionate and competent teachers and efficient and cooperative administration of college leave no stone unturned to ensure the growth and success of their students, in all types of curricular and extracurricular activities. Beside academics, each year, students win laurels in debates, speeches, Qirat, drama, fine arts, music and other activities.
